About Agnieszka Gerwel
My art emphasizes the healing aspect of viewing nature and brightly colored paintings and photographs. I enjoy painting folk art and taking pictures of flowers and landscapes. Looking at soothing images of nature evokes serenity, relieves stress and stimulates positive feelings... I hope that the viewer of my art will be able to take a break in the middle of their busy workday, meditate and feel present in the moment. Many of my photographs depict the beauty of New Jersey, the Garden State, where I currently live. Part of my art reflects a lifelong interest in world cultures and, somehow, nostalgia always finds its way into my work.
